The PGA Tour is playing the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am this week, and if you watch the action on TV (Thursday and Friday on the Golf Channel; Saturday and Sunday on CBS), you can pick up some valuable tips for playing the Pebble Beach Golf Course on your Pebble Beach golf vacation.
For example, if the broadcasters include any early morning coverage, you’re likely to see the surrounding landscape swathed in fog, a regular occurrence for the area. So, if you’re planning a first-time visit to the Pebble Beach Golf Course, you may want to play in the afternoon when the awe-inspiring views are likely to be clearer.
If you’ve played the Pebble Beach Golf Course before, however, we suggest playing early in the day to avoid the inevitable afternoon backup. You’ll also experience markedly better course conditions.
Pay close attention to the green complexes, too. Pebble Beach Golf Course features some of the smallest and most strategically bunkered greens you are likely to ever play. In fact, the fourth hole features the smallest green on the PGA Tour.
