American made Adare Golf Club holds its own in Ireland.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Adare Golf Club, located at the similarly spectacular Adare Manor on Irelands southwest side, is the best American-designed golf course to play on an Ireland golf vacation.
The course opened in the summer of 1995 to instant acclaim and it is one of the best and toughest inland layouts in all of Ireland. Mature trees entirely frame several holes, while others play over open parkland, which is part of the enormous country estate.
The delightful River Maigue and its tributary, along with two ponds and a lake, contribute enormously to its beauty. A full ten holes are menaced by water, including the 18th, a 510-yard par five.
On this hole, the river skirts up the left side before sweeping across the fairway twenty yards short of the green. A couple of tall, old trees creep into the right side of the fairway, forcing your second shot toward the water. The third shot, over the hazard, is short, but the green, corseted in front by a pair of small pot bunkers, is not deep. It is a rousing finish to a course without a single weak or uninteresting hole.
