There's never a truly bad time for an Ireland golf vacation. Unlike parts of America, most golf courses in Ireland, especially the seaside links, are open year round. That's because Ireland's climate is temperate, seldom getting extremely hot or cold.
That said, the best overall time to take an Ireland golf vacation is during late spring and early fall, when courses are less crowded and it rains less than in summer.
Summer can also be a good time for your Ireland golf vacation, although this is the busiest season and it may be difficult to secure a tee time at certain courses if not prearranged.
In June, daylight lasts until nearly 10:30 p.m., enabling you to play two rounds of golf and still have time for lunch in between. In July and August, the average daily temperature range in Ireland ranges from a balmy 57 to 75 degrees.
September is generally a busy month, too, but by October, the crowds have dissipated, the weather is cool and crisp, and there are excellent bargains on golf travel packages for your Ireland golf vacation.
