Arnold Palmer is always a gracious host.

If you want to have dinner with Arnold Palmer on your Florida golf vacation, your best shot is to check into his Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando where the PGA Tour is playing this week.
That's because Bay Hill is The King's winter home and, when he's not greeting golf school students on the range or chatting with guests on the putting green, he can often be found dining in Bay Hill's main restaurant, called simply, The Grill.
It's located at the end of a corridor past the Member's Lounge and three sets of doors with glass panels divide the room. The smaller, casual area in front, with a television and small bar, is where Mr. Palmer typically sits. Further back is the larger, "formal" dining area with huge windows that look out on the golf course.
Despite what it's called, the room has an airy, open feel to it and during Golf Odyssey's most recent anonymous site inspection, we noticed guests dressed in everything from resort casual clothes to jackets and ties. (We also noticed only one romantic table for two, so be sure to request it when making your Florida golf vacation reservations).
We couldnt make out what Mr. Palmer was eating, but we thoroughly enjoyed the crumbled cracker-encrusted Key Lime Grouper, which was baked in Chardonnay wine. We also discovered why the crème brulee is the restaurants signature dessert.
In addition to golf packages, Bay Hill offers room rates that include a generous breakfast buffet in The Grill, an option that provides even more opportunities to see The King holding court.
