If you're determined to get in lots of practicing on your Florida golf vacation, the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie is most accommodating. In addition to a large grass range, a chipping area and several putting greens, the club features the PGA Learning Center, a 35-acre golf park located a mile-and-a-half away.
With more than 100 all-grass hitting areas arranged semi-circularly around a collection of targets, the Learning Center helps simulate many of the scenarious found in golf in differing light and wind conditions.
In that same vein, there are also dedicated putting, chipping and pitching greens and various types of bunkers (grass, greenside and fairway) containing different types of sand. For on-course learning, there are three practice holes. It's by far the best place to sharpen your skills on your Florida golf vacation.
If that weren't enough to make a range rat think he is in heaven, all the balls you can hit are included in the moderate fee of $20 for a full-day session, $50 for a weekly pass.
Why is it such a good deal? PGA Golf Club is owned and operated by the PGA of America (not the guys on tour, but the association of golf course professionals) whose mission is, in part, to promote the game of golf and its members as teachers.
