United now flies non-stop from San Francisco to North Bend for Bandon Dunes Golf Vacations.

Taking a Bandon Dunes golf vacation just got a little easier. United Airlines has announced that, beginning July 7, it will offer non-stop flights from San Francisco International Airport to the North Bend Municipal Airport, the most convenient landing strip for golfers who don't have room in their budget for private or chartered aircraft.
Flight times out of San Francisco are expected to be 11:08 a.m. and 8:17 p.m., with minor time changes sprinkled throughout the year. The trip takes about an hour and 40 minutes, and leaves you just a half hour away from your Bandon Dunes golf vacation.
The flights are served by United's Embraer 120's, which have seating for 30 passengers per trip. Only economy class is available, if you can call it that. Fares are currently being listed at $427 round-trip on the airline's website.
While charging that much for such a short flight may seem obscene, only those originating from the Bay area will have to stomach it. United's prices for vacationers connecting through San Francisco on their way to North Bend are pretty reasonable given the rising costs of air travel these days. Economy flights, with varying connections, start at $490 out of Los Angeles, $530 out of Newark, and $650 out of Tampa.
If you take advantage of these non-stop flights from San Francisco for your Bandon Dunes golf vacation, we recommend the earlier, 11:08 flight, which would allow you to get to Bandon, settle in, and possibly play a late nine holes, hit the driving range, or familiarize yourself with the resort if it's your first time there.
Of course, our best advice for becoming instantly and intimately familiar with the resort is to read our handy guidebook, Planning the Ultimate Bandon Dunes Golf Vacation, which literally answers every possible question about going to Bandon and offers helpful, insider advice such as: the best time to go for the best weather and fewest crowds; the best lodging options based on your traveling party; what you can expect to pay for golf, lodging, and meals; and how to determine which of the three courses you'll like best (with help from each course architect in exclusive interviews!)
