Riverbend offers one more level of luxury on an American Club Kohler golf vacation.

After taking American Club Kohler golf vacations nearly every other year since 1995, we've had the opportunity to inspect virtually every inch of this popular Wisconsin golf resort. And while we've known about the existence of Riverbend, the resort's marvelous, private club, since it opened in 2001, even we were surprised to learn that anyone can experience it...at least once.
Located about one mile from the American Club Kohler, Riverbend is a historic mansion house that serves as the centerpiece of a private, outdoor and sports retreat. Each of the 31 guest chambers is unique and beautifully appointed with comfortable beds, fireplaces, stocked refrigerators, LCD televisions, and of course, gorgeous bathrooms with oversized whirlpool tubs and showers.
The mansion itself has several inviting common areas, particularly the Rathskeller. The mansion's "pub," it includes a well-stocked bar, card tables, a 1917 Brunswick billiards table, large flat-panel televisions, and oversized stuffed chairs. A cigar or two have most certainly been sampled here. A putting green and croquet court are also on the property. The intimate setting along the Sheboygan River, exquisite accommodations, private dining, and above all, personalized service, create a memorable guest experience.
As you might imagine, preferred access to the American Club Kohler's Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits golf courses are the focal point of Riverbend, but there is so much more. Staying at Riverbend provides access to three other private, state-of-the-art clubs in the Kohler vicinity: Sports Core (fitness/tennis), River Wildlife (pheasant hunting/river fishing/horseback riding/hiking/sporting clays/trap shooting), and the Kohler Waters Spa (world-class spa and treatments). Riverbend members can also enjoy privileges and discounts on their St. Andrews, Scotland golf vacations at the Kohler-owned Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, and its Dukes Course.
To be sure, if you're looking for a way to take an extra special American Club Kohler golf vacation, staying at Riverbend is it. Though we've always considered service and hospitality the strengths of an American Club Kohler golf vacation, Riverbend takes both to entirely new levels. The experience ranks with the best we have ever enjoyed.
It's our understanding that Riverbend has approximately 300 members, each of whom has paid an initiation fee is $150,000 for "local" members or $90,000 for "national" members, plus annual dues. Too pricey? Subject to availability, you have the one-time opportunity to experience Riverbend as a "prospective member" for just $330 to $1,050 per night.
